Allman Brothers Band: Stand Back Anthology

A beautifully packaged and sequenced two-disc set, STAND BACK is the definitive overview of one of the most successful and influential blues-rock acts. Each of the 32 songs are digitally re-mastered, and there is at least one song from each of their 13 studio albums. It is the Allman Brothers' first collection to feature songs from their entire 35 year career (1969-2004).  Arranged chronologically, STAND BACK traces the evolution of the Allmans, from edge-pushing rockers to their country-rock and southern rock sound of the '90s and 2000s. In between are blues classics by Blind Willie McTell and Muddy Waters, and songs by vocalist/keyboardist Gregg Allman and guitarist Dickey Betts, many of which are now blues-rock classics in their own right. The album features great songs such as "Ramblin Man", "Whipping Post", and "Midnight Rider".
